Nomad View - Medium | Springbar® Hot Tent Bundle

As a fabricator I originally set out to build my own stove. After watching numerous videos for ideas, I liked the look of the Nomad Large. After looking at the reviews I decided it would be easier to just buy a stove. I received it today. Well, it exceeded my expectations on quality. It has all the fit and finish that I would have put into making one. I cut my stove jack today and will do an initial burn off in the next couple days, can't wait to go on my first outing.

I just fired up my Winnerwell Nomad Double View Medium stove, and am very disappointed. It was more difficult to get started than expected, did not draft well or burn fuel completely, and the blacked glass never cleared up. I used dry, seasoned Douglas-fir, two sections of pipe plus spark arrester (I was outside), and ran the stove for 2 1/2 hours. I had to regularly feed in smaller kindling pieces to get the larger pieces to consume.
The stove is well-made but not designed well. I bought the Double View for the outside air intake and air baffles in the burn box. Based on online reviews, I expected better out of Winnerwell for such an expensive stove.

Nomad - Medium

Delightful. Right from the first cup of coffee! BUT, I can’t find any help ANYWHERE for removing a stuck/really stuck spark arrester from the pipe it was packed in. Boo.
