Well Made coffee

The pot is well made, the wire handles work great keeping cool for handling. It makes a great cup of coffee! After years of using a imported coffee maker this pot from Winnerwell is definitely a step up!

Better Built than my Cabelas Stainless Steel Percolator

I have used this percolator about 5 times now and it have dialed it in fairly well. I used regular pre-ground coffee and a coffee filter that is made for percolators. Imagine a paper disk that slips over the stem. They are available on Amazon, just search percolator coffee filter. The three tips I would give is to not overfill the basket. I usually go four regular scoops and pour enough water to be an inch below the pour spout. The last tip is to push the carry handle down to the side where the pour handle is located. It won't get hot that way.

My only minor gripes are that the brushed stainless isn't as bright and shiny as the Cabelas pot, and the lid will slam down fairly hard, but that is on me, and usually while I am cleaning the pot.

When you start to hear the beginning sounds of water bubbling turn down the heat to low to mid range and let it slowly perk. Too fast and you will have a mess. Let it perk for 4 to 5 minutes. You will have the smoothest cup of coffee!

I strongly recommend this coffee percolator.

Very sturdy and a unique design.

I have a Cabales percolator from the mid 90’s and this percolator is much better designed without the slop in fitted parts. The Handle is very unique and I have gotten a few compliments already. Thank
