Secondary Combustion Burner 3.5"

This secondary burn chamber worked out perfect I can’t believe how well it works. They did a very good job building this. This is built, tough and robust. There’s nothing cheesy about this burn chamber.

This secondary combustion camber is a unit! Larger than I anticipated and really cranks up the heat in my 13 ft bell tent. Provides additional cooktop / warming space and cool design as well 👍👍

Been looking for something to increase the stoves efficiency, so when I saw these I had to have it. Test burn shows it going to work great. Stove pipe usually gets red hot especially the bottom sections, but not with the secondary burner. Definitely putting out more heat than just the stove. Build quality is what you would expect from winterwell, excellent! Love the little trees. Definitely worth the money. Can't wait to get the tent up this weekend and camp out with the kids. It's definitely going to keep the tent warmer when it's burning low at night. Once the stove is burning well and you turn the air on you can hear it burn and it gets hotter than the stove top so you could definitely cook on it too.

First fire, I never did get it to get hot. Second I got it to get over 400 degrees. Third fire I was working to keep the low glow from becoming a bright glow. It was 28 outside and I got the tent up to 90 degrees. I was approaching sauna temp.

Still learning, main step is cleaning out the ashes to keep good air flow.

When it working you can hear a low roar in the chamber. As a recovering engineer, that’s 😎!

Many times I thought it was about to take off and I set a water kettle on it and the temp dropped fast.

I love it. Almost as much as the in line stove. Got go I have fresh bread coming out. Camp bread, warms the soul.

I put a temp meter on it to try to gauge secondary "ignition". My general impression is that it works best with it open only 1/4 to 1/3. Any more and it lights up, then just starts to dilute the draft. The most effective method IMO is to have a small fire on full (main air control) with the secondary open 1/3. This would produce massive heat for 1/2 to 1 hour. For a long burn setup, I'd get the stove very hot, load, wait 10 minutes, then shut down the main to 1/3 & leave the secondary at 1/4. This seemed to keep the smoke clear & I had great temperatures for the first 1/3 - 2/3 of the burn load. Even if it does not light off, this works as a good heat-exchanger. The only downside with this device is that when you open the secondary air control, it will dilute the draft - so wait until it is hot before you start opening it.
