This thing is awesome. I noticed a huge difference with it installed. A lot more heat and a lot less wood to generate it, it's definitely maxing out the efficiency of the stove. Once the whole system is up to temperature it runs great with not much smoke exiting out the pipe. Flue runs pretty cool as well. And all that extra cooking surface! I put the large water tank on top of the burner and it boils water fast, easy on/off as well. Thank you for such great products.
My brother owns a 16 ft regatta bell tent and it is great tent and very spacious. We did notice however that our winnerwell nomad large stove took a little while and some wood to get it warm enough to really stay in the tent and not have to keep a light jacket on or keepadding wood. This addition of the combustion chamber really made a difference because it’s another large piece of steel that throws off a lot of heat. It is also a great secondary cooking surface when you want to eat and drink hot things at the same time. We added some weight to the bottom of the stove to help make sure it didn’t have a tipping hazard. When it gets red hot it’s also cool to look at along with the view version of the nomad. Top shelf quality as expected from winnerwell. If you have a larger tent this might be just what your looking for for the added heat, cooking, and wood consumption which really comes in handy not to have to wake up every hour to stoke the fire on cold upstate NY nights. It’s a home run for us.
Good 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Received my secondary combustion burner recently after waiting several months for them to be back in stock. Definitely worth the wait. Definitely worth the money as well. It works excellent. Biggest thing I noticed was having a lot less spark or embers from the stove pipe or ash. Definitely a cleaner burn. You could really see it with half as much smoke. Hard to say yet how much extra heat it will help produce inside tent since I only burned it on my back patio, but you could feel the heat definitely radiating off the burner. It was around 15°f at the time. So far I am really pleased. Can't wait to try it in the tent camping hopefully soon.
I have not had a chance to use the secondary burner unit yet but here are my initial observations. The burner is solidly constructed and dare I say artfully designed with impeccable welding. This will last for decades and will be handed down to my children. I will post a follow up review after I have used it several times.
