Extremely capable wood grill.

Used this firepit to meet firepan requirements on a permit river trip, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly a few handfuls of driftwood generated enough consistent heat to cook. We were able to grill 10 minutes after starting a fire. The depth of the firepit makes this much more safe in high winds than an open firepan, and fires generate very little ash volume to pack out. It is a little fiddly and fragile when folding up, make sure you orient all the latches correctly when folding. I would feel good planning on cooking over this with just driftwood on a nightly basis on an extended river trip.

Fabulous Firepit!

This folding fire pit was the star of the camping trip! Cold windy weather made the campsite provided fire pit absolutely useless! We were able to set this up just about anywhere we wanted and shielded from the wind. We made every meal and our percolator coffee on this the entire 4 day weekend, along with several batches of evening popcorn and a last day Dutch oven stew that fed us and a hungry camp neighbor. It now has a nice patina coloring for all its hard work! PS. I think I sold a few of these for you this weekend! Jeff’s.
