Nomad View - Large | Springbar® Hot Tent Bundle

Only really have a couple of small complaints about this stove. I bought it with the Flashing kit and tripple wall extra pipe for safety and to seal out the weather. All in all it is made well, has a good size firebox, seems to draw pretty good too. I’ve used it now since 2022 and would probably try a different one for the next purchase and here is why. With the removable “cooking” port on top it makes it pretty tough to have a tight seal on the stove you can actually see in space in between the removable plate into the fire box allowing some smoke to seep through, although it isn’t a lot of smoke and it is intermittent depending on how far back your fire is burning, it’s still enough to notice. I would love this stove and give it 5 stars if it didn’t have the removable cooking plate and had a baffle in it allowing the wood to burn longer and possibly distribute the heat better along the stove, I tend to make my fire farther back into the box due to this happening and with that I can get red pipes easier as the flames are closer to them and the draw. Sturdy, beautiful stove in all but for my liking I could do without the removable plate as I do not remove it to cook anyway. Cooks fine with it on.

I’ve got a nomad large installed in a spring bar Skyliner. I’m at Grouse Camp now and it hasn’t been real cold, but I like the size and the fire box capacity. The stove is performing excellent.

This is my second stove — my first was a medium Woodlander, which always performs to perfection. I have now purchased a Nomad ( large) same quality and craftsmanship which will last for many years— very happy with my choice

I will start by saying the only reason it’s a three is because I have not tested it in my hot tent yet in the field. I have done the first burn and did enjoy using it during that. I am new to wood stoves and may just not have gotten the memo, but oil from your fingers prints burn into the patina you get when you burn the stove. Would love if you guys would provide something to wipe down the stove with the purchase or put it in the instructions to avoid fingers prints on such a beautiful stove. With that said I am super excited to use it during my hunt in November.

Leaving for the Wyoming range in 2 weeks pack into the high country with horses an mules for deer an elk the stove fits perfectly in box on pack saddle can't wait to use it
